News, reviews, and research information about the acai berry fruit.
Zola™ Acai
Zola acai drinks seem to be a cost-effective way to introduce the acai berry into your diet. Although some information on their website is marketing driven and not necessarily accurate - claiming that other “energy drinks” contain 36-40% caffeine (by weight? Yikes.) - the product itself seems to be one of the purest (and less costly) forms of acai on the market today.
The Zola acai juice contains 100% unfiltered acai pulp. Plus guarana. So it’s not exactly 100% acai, but, well. You know how it goes. Zola acai also claims to be the first to market “100% unfiltered acai juice” in the United States.
One 11 fl oz carton retails for $2.49, and you can also buy a 12-pack carton of Zola acai for $23.88. The Zola acai juice also has two variations blended with blueberry and pineapple juices.
From their website:
Zola Açaí is the world’s first Antioxidant Power Juice. We give you health, energy and taste in Amazon-sized quantities. Our secret? The Power is in the Pulp™. 100% Unfiltered Açaí Pulp, made from the exotic Amazonian Açaí (AH-sci-EE) berry, a Brazilian fruit bursting with antioxidants. Zola is also loaded with Omega-6 + Omega-9 fatty acids, 8 of the 9 essential amino acids, calcium, iron and replenishing electrolytes. Following the traditional Brazilian recipe, we add all-natural, long-lasting Guaraná powder, not the chemically-processed extracts found in other drinks.
Quick facts:
- Zola™ contains 100% unfiltered acai pulp, plus guarana seed powder
- Acai pulp used in Zola is USDA certified organic
- Sold at leading retailers such as Whole Foods Market and Wild Oats
